hibi × TRAVELER’S COMPANY
「hibi」は、播磨の地場産業として、1929年の創業以来マッチを作り続けている神戸マッチ株式会社と、日本のお香の7割を作る淡路島のお香製造会社との協業により生まれた、マッチのように着火して使うことができる新しいスタイルのお香です。マッチ箱のようなパッケージの中には、お香をそのまま置くことができる不燃の専用マットが付属しているので、日々の暮らしの中で、どこでも気軽に10分間の心地よい香りを楽しむことができます。
例えば、夜のひととき、トラベラーズノートと過ごす時間に「hibi」を灯すことで、心地よい香りが心を落ち着かせてくれて、穏やかな気持ちで紙面に向き合うことができます。また、持ち歩きやすく、簡単に着火できるので、ホテルの部屋で使うなど、旅の相性もぴったりです。
コラボレーションバージョンの「hibi」は、かつて使われていたパレス型と呼ばれるマッチ箱の形を復刻し、「FOR TRAVEL」をテーマにトラベラーズカンパニーがデザイン。香りは、「hibi」の定番ラインアップより、清涼感のある香りが心を鎮めてくれる「ティートゥリー」、バラに似たほのかな甘さとグリーンノートが混じりあう「ゼラニウム」、懐かしい気持ちで心を包んでくれる「ひのき」の3種類をセレクトし、「ティートゥリー」はトラベラーズホテル、「ゼラニウム」はトラベラーズカフェ、「ひのき」は日本の旅をイメージしたパッケージになっています。
コラボレーションバージョンの「hibi 10MINUTES AROMA」は、日本国内ではトラベラーズファクトリー、アメリカ・カナダではトラベラーズカンパニーUSA、またヨーロッパの一部の店舗で2024年1月に発売します。ノートを過ごす時間に、心地よい香りを加えてみてください。
“hibi” is a new style of incense that can be lit and used like a match It was created through a collaboration between the Kobe Match Corporation, which has been making matches since its establishment in 1929 as a local industry in Himeji, and an incense manufacturer on Awaji Island that makes 70% of all incense in Japan. The matchbox-like package comes with a special non-flammable mat on which the incense can be placed so that you can easily enjoy 10 minutes of pleasant fragrance anywhere in your daily life.
For example, by lighting “hibi” in the evening when you spend time with your TRAVELER’S notebook, the pleasant aroma will calm your mind and you can write in a peaceful mood. It is also compact for carrying around and lights easily, making it a perfect travel companion.
The collaboration version of “hibi” uses a reissue of the once-used matchbox shape known as the palace mold and designed by TRAVELER’S COMPANY under the theme of “FOR TRAVEL”. Three fragrances were selected from the standard “hibi” lineup: “Tea Tree”, which has a cool and refreshing scent that soothes the mind; “Geranium,” which has a subtle sweetness similar to rose mixed with green notes; and “Hinoki,” which envelops the mind with a nostalgic feeling. The “Tea Tree” is packaged in the image of TRAVELER’S HOTEL, the “Geranium” is packaged in the image of TRAVELER’S CAFE, and the “Hinoki” is packaged in the image of a trip to Japan.
The collaboration version of the “hibi 10 MINUTES AROMA” will be available at TRAVELER’S FACTORY in Japan, TRAVELER’S COMPANY USA in the US and Canada, and at selected stores in Europe in January 2024. Please add a pleasant fragrance to the time you spend with your notebooks.
