T.S.L Kurashikiは、素材選びからメイド・イン・ジャパンにこだわり、帆布のバッグや革小物を手がけるブランド、The Superior Laborのフラッグシップショップとして、2022年にオープンしました。
場所は、白壁の蔵屋敷が並ぶ趣ある景観が楽しめる倉敷美観地区。その中心部にある古民家をリノベーションし、一階にはThe Superior Labor のラインアップ、二階にはトラベラーズカンパニーのパートナーショップとしてトラベラーズノートやブラスプロダクトなどに加え、一部のトラベラーズファクトリーのオリジナルアイテムが並んでいます。さらに、ここではThe Superior Labor のワッペンやレザーポケットなどをトラベラーズノートの革カバーに縫い付けるカスタマイズサービスを受け付けています。

同じ日本発のブランドとして、トラベラーズカンパニーとのコラボレーションも行っています。トラベラーズファクトリーでは、The Superior Laborのポップアップコーナーが常設され、ワークショップなどのイベントも不定期で開催されています。

代表の河合さんは、トラベラーズノートの愛用者として、こちらのページでも紹介されています。自らトラベラーズノートを使い、カスタマイズを重ねていることから、さまざまなコラボレーションのアイデアが生まれています。また、T.S.L Kurashikiのスタッフもほとんどがトラベラーズノートユーザーです。トラベラーズノートを手にT.S.L Kurashikiを訪ねれば、ノートにぴったりのバッグなどを紹介してくれるだけではなく、素敵な使い方やカスタマイズのアイデアも教えてもらえるかもしれません。

T.S.L Kurashiki opened in 2022 as the flagship store for The Superior Labor, a brand dedicated to creating canvas bags and leather goods made entirely in Japan from the raw materials up.

It is located in the picturesque Bikan Historical Quarter of Kurashiki, where rows of white-walled storehouses create a charming landscape. A renovated old house in the heart of this district houses The Superior Labor lineup on the first floor. The second floor serves as a partner shop for TRAVELER’S COMPANY, offering TRAVELER’S notebooks, Brass Products, and select original items from TRAVELER’S FACTORY. Additionally, this location provides customization services, such as sewing The Superior Labor patches or leather pockets onto TRAVELER’S notebook leather covers.

As fellow Japanese brands, they also collaborate with TRAVELER’S COMPANY. At TRAVELER’S FACTORY, a permanent pop-up corner for The Superior Labor is established, and workshops and other events are held periodically.

Kawai, the owner is TRAVELER’S notebook user himself, is also featured on this page. His personal use and customization of TRAVELER’S notebook sparks various collaboration ideas. Furthermore, most T.S.L Kurashiki staff are also TRAVELER’S notebook users. The stamp was designed with Kurashiki’s Bikan Historical Quarter, home to T.S.L. Kurashiki, as its motif. This area offers charming scenery, including white-walled storehouses, rows of willow trees, and old Western-style buildings.

大原美術館 / Ohara Museum of Art
倉敷出身の実業家・大原孫三郎と洋画家の児島虎次郎によって収集された美術品を展示する、1930年（昭和5）に設立された日本で最初の西洋美術中心の私立美術館。エル・グレコの「受胎告知」やモネの「睡蓮」、ゴーギャン「かぐわしき大地」など様々な世界的名画を展示しています。

Founded in 1930, this museum was Japan’s first private art museum dedicated to Western art, displaying works collected by Kurashiki-born industrialist Magosaburō Ōhara and Western-style painter Torajirō Kojima. It exhibits various world-renowned masterpieces, including El Greco’s “The Annunciation,” Monet’s “Water Lilies,” and Gauguin’s “Delightful Land.”

マスキングテープ専門店 TANE / Washi Tape Shop TANE
「mt発祥の地」と言われている倉敷にあるカモ井製のmtのみを扱うお店。70歳からmt専門店を始めた店主の自宅を改装した店舗で、「TANEに来たらなんでも揃う！」をモットーとした壁一面のmtは圧巻です。海外からもこのお店をめがけて訪問するお客様も大勢います。

In Kurashiki, known as the birthplace of “mt,” this shop exclusively carries mt washi tape made by Kurashiki’s Kamoi. Housed in the owner’s renovated home—who started this mt specialty store at age 70—it boasts an impressive wall-to-wall display of mt goods under the motto “Come to TANE and find every mt you need!” Many customers also visit this shop specifically from overseas.

ガラス工房 aun / Glass Studio aun
ガラス作家の江田明裕さんが製作したガラスペンを販売するショップ兼工房です。滑らかな書き心地はもちろんのこと、持ち心地や重さなどお好みにあわせて様々なバリエーションを展開しています。来店は予約制になるので、一本一本異なる表情の美しいガラスペンの中からじっくりお気に入りの一本を選ぶことが出来ます。

This shop and workshop sells glass pens crafted by glass artist Akihiro Eda. Beyond their smooth writing feel, they offer various variations tailored to your preferences, including grip comfort and weight. Visits are by appointment only, allowing you to take your time selecting your favorite piece from our collection of beautiful glass pens, each with its own unique character.

A popular Japanese snack shop located right at the entrance to the shopping district from the Bikan Historical Quarter of Kurashiki. Their generously filled sweet bean paste manju (Japanese traditional snack) are reasonably priced and the perfect size for eating on the go. Open only from autumn to early spring.
