南寧街83巷の奥に進むと、青々とした緑と優しく揺れるシダが迎えてくれます。ここは、日常の喧騒とは異なるリズムで動いているかのようです。そして、店内に足を踏み入れると、すぐに温かく穏やかな空気に包まれます。そして、この店を愛情込めて運営しているのは、オーナーである玖玖(jiou jiou)と小豬(siao jhu)の二人です。時間がゆっくりと流れる隠れ家的なこの場所に居ると、なんでもない日常の美しさを気づかせてくれます。
店主にトラベラーズノートの魅力について伺いました。
「最初にトラベラーズノートに惹かれたのは、革カバーの独特な質感と、リフィルノートを差し替えて使える柔軟性に魅力を感じたからです。もしかしたら、書店や文房具店をのんびりと歩いていたときに見かけて、革のカバーが持つ控えめな優雅さに心を奪われてしまったのかもしれないし、ネットで熱心なファンたちが自分たちの体験をシェアしているのを見て、好奇心が刺激されたのもあるかもしれません。
でも、このノートの本当の魅力は、見た目だけでなく、使う人に合わせて変化していくところにあると思っています。さまざまなリフィルノートやポケット、ジッパーケースやチャームなどを使って、持ち主の好みにあわせてカスタマイズすることで、旅の記録も日々の思考を綴るための大切な相棒のような存在になっていきます。
特に好きなのは、使うほどに革が経年変化をして風合いが増すところです。革に傷が増え、味が深まるほどに、まるで自分の人生の経験がそこに刻まれているように感じてしまいます。
Tucked away in the quiet alleys of Tainan, SHIWU STUDIO is a stationery shop that believes in the essential yet beautifully selfish romance of curating life’s little treasures. As you wander to the end of Lane 83 on Nanning Street, lush greenery and gently swaying staghorn ferns welcome you, hinting at a world that moves at a different rhythm from the everyday hustle. Step inside, and a warm, tranquil atmosphere immediately embraces you—this is SHIWU STUDIO, a stationery and select goods store lovingly run by 玖玖(jiou jiou) and 小豬(siao jhu). A hidden retreat where time slows down, inviting you to savor the beauty of the ordinary.
I was first drawn to the TRAVELER’S notebook for its unique texture and the flexibility of its refillable pages. Perhaps it was during a leisurely stroll through a bookstore or stationery shop that I was captivated by the understated elegance of its leather cover, or maybe it was through glimpses of enthusiasts sharing their experiences online that my curiosity was sparked. The true charm of this notebook lies not only in its appearance but in the way it adapts to its owner. With customizable inserts, pockets, and accessories, it evolves with one’s needs, becoming a deeply personal companion—whether for chronicling journeys or capturing everyday thoughts. I especially love the way the leather ages over time, bearing the marks of experience and telling a story uniquely its own.

この美術館を際立たせているのは、独特な五角形の屋根。そのデザインは台南市の市木である鳳凰木から着想を得ています。さらに、この屋根は美しいだけではありません。科学的な研究と幾何学的デザインを駆使し、シェルピンスキーの三角形というフラクタル構造を取り入れることで、木陰のように室内の温度を調整する機能も果たしています。太陽の光が屋根を照らすと、館内には美しい木漏れ日が広がり、時間とともに変化する幻想的な空間を生み出します。
What makes this museum stand out is its distinctive pentagon-shaped roof, inspired by the Royal Poinciana (Taiwan’s city tree). The roof isn’t just beautiful, though—it’s also highly functional. With the help of scientific research and geometric design, the roof uses Sierpinski triangle fractals to regulate the temperature inside by mimicking the shade of tree leaves. When sunlight hits the roof, it casts beautiful, dappled light across the museum’s interior, creating an ever-changing atmosphere.
