また、「Der Farbklecks」では、額縁の製作に加えて、厳選された画材の品揃えでも知られています。高品質な水彩絵具や筆、スケッチブック、インクなどは幅広く取り揃えています。また、画材の他にもデザインやジャーナリングが好きな方に向けた、ステーショナリーも取り扱っています。洗練された美学や触感の美しさ、考え抜かれた機能性などをポイントにセレクトしているそうです。また、定期的にジャーナリングのギャザリングイベントを開催し、地元のアナログ好きやクリエイティブな人たちによるコミュニティが集まる場所にもなっています。単なる店ではなく、アートに触れたり、紙やインクなどを手にすることで、創造性を刺激し、あらたなコミュニケーションが生まれる場となっています。
トラベラーズノートは、お客さんが愛用のノートを紹介してくれたことで、知ったそうです。その後、調べるうちに魅了され、自分たちの店にぴったりだと考えて、扱うようになりました。その後、2024年に日本に訪れた際には、東京と京都のトラベラーズファクトリーにも訪れたとのこと。定期的にトラベラーズノートのギャザリングも開催し、ユーザー同士のつながりを深めてくれています。
With a deep background in the arts and a shared love for craftsmanship, Ulrike and Moritz built “Der Farbklecks“ as a space where traditional skills and modern design come together. Around the year 2020 a customer passionately showed us her beloved “TRAVELER’S notebook“ and told us that it would be an amazing fit for our store. After researching and also falling in love with the material and philosophy we started with a small selection. Just after a couple of months of truly amazing feedback we decided to stock the whole range of TRAVELER’S COMPANY products as well as other classics from Designphil, like MD PAPER PRODUCTS. Skipping a few years ahead, we have already taken part in two Stamp Caravan events, collecting stamps in our own TRAVELER’S notebook on our trip to Japan in 2024, visiting both TRAVELER’S FACTORY stores in Tokyo and Kyoto – and keep connecting to a growing community with our regular Journaling Meet-ups.

デュースブルクの港内にある、元穀物倉庫を利用した美しいモダンアートの美術館です。まずは、ヘルツォーク＆ド・ムーロンによってリノベーションされた建築自体が見どころ。歴史あるインダストリアルな建物とミニマルなギャラリーの空間が美しく融合しています。リヒター、キーファー、クネーベルなど、ドイツの戦後アーティストの作品に出会えます。また、サイロの通路や屋上からの眺めは、必見です。ここを訪れるなら、スケッチブックやノートを持っていくのがおすすめ。アート作品と工業空間のコントラストは、きっとインスピレーションを与えてくれるはずです。

デュースブルクのランドマークとも言えるジェットコースター型の彫刻は、閉鎖された亜鉛工場の跡地に作られました。遊園地の乗り物みたいに見えますが、実はこれは大きなインスタレーション（芸術作品）で、実際に歩いて登ることができるのです。てっぺんからは、かつて工業地帯だったルール地方の景色が一望できます。特に夕暮れ時や、夜にライトアップされた姿は、本当に幻想的で素敵です。写真撮影にはもってこいの場所です。ぜひ、訪れて「鉄鋼の街」から「アートの街」へと変貌を遂げたこの地域の美しさに想いを馳せてみてください。
