Owned and operated by three siblings for over a decade, the store reflects their passion for traditional stationery, fine writing, and distinctive goods sourced from around the world. Located in Bozeman, Montana’s historic Cannery District, Paper and Grace was named one of “The Shopkeepers” Best Stationery Shops of 2019.
As co-owner Jill Redmon recalls, their journey with TRAVELER’S notebook began through a decade-long partnership with a vendor.

After a morning pastry, we recommend a hike at Hyalite Reservoir just outside of Bozeman. The area offers year-round access to nature, including camping, waterfalls, swimming, paddle boarding, and even ice climbing for those who enjoy cold weather adventures.

ハイキングと博物館巡りを楽しんだ後は、いよいよ至福のディナータイムです。歴史あるキャナリー・ディストリクトに位置する「シャン」は、Paper and Graceと同じエリアに店を構える、高い評価を得ている中華・タイ料理レストランです。オーナーのジャレットさんとキャンディスさんは、バンコクと香港でレストランを経営した後、2023年にボーズマンへ移住してきました。
ロッキー山脈の豊かな自然が育んだ地元の素材で作られたアジアの料理は、アジアの伝統とこの土地を結びつけてくれているようです。日本の居酒屋を思わせる温かな雰囲気と、山あいのパブのような活気が同居する空間で楽しむ、地ビールや厳選されたワイン、料理を引き立てるシードル。2024年にジェームズ・ビアード財団の「ベスト・ニュー・レストラン」ファイナリストにも選出されています。ボーズマンを訪れるなら、絶対に外せない一軒です。
Specializing in shareable small plates, ingredients are locally sourced for a fusion that connects Asian culinary traditions to the Rocky Mountain landscape. The space is inspired by the warm feel of the Japanese Izakaya, with the personality of a mountain tavern for local beers, curated wines and ciders brilliant for pairing. Shan gained national recognition as a finalist for the James Beard Foundation’s Best New Restaurant award in 2024. This is a meal and a memory long to savor – you don’t want to miss it!
